About Me

Since I was little I have had a passion to work with and help animals. I had long dreamt of becoming a vet, but the universe had other plans for me and led me towards a Bachelor of Science. So in order to fulfill my desire of helping animals, I volunteered to work with them as much as I could.

In 2010, I began volunteering at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary (BFAS) in Dogtown. Over the years I have met some amazing animals, along with some equally amazing people, and I’ve also established a number of repeat clients whom are Dogtown caregivers.

In 2016, a bit closer to home, I began (and continue to) hold an internship position at Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary (YWS). I have gained much knowledge and experience over the years at YWS, but the most wonderful thing that could have happened to me was meeting Rango, a high content coydog. He would incessantly chatter a way in my head, and I still to this day, look forward to and enjoy my conversations with him.

In 2020, I began working towards my Pet Master Herbalist Certification and Master Herbalist Certification. This is a fascinating journey which combines my love of veterinary biology, with the intriguing subject of holistic/herbal remedies. Currently, I am growing, cultivating, and ultimately creating various remedies to help with common canine ailments. Graduate in Sept 2022 with over 2000 hours of training, fully certified Herbalist!

Starting 2022, I have been accepted into London College of Animal Osteopathy to begin my journey as an Licensed Animal Osteopathic Practitioner. I will be able to treat horses, dogs, cat etc. along side with my herbal remedies.

Come September 2024, I hope to become part of the intakes of the Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Calgary, since my goal ultimately is to be a holistic vet for Calgary and area
